“Worth knowing” on tour

If you have ever worked with Angus Macinnis you will know how much he likes the sound of his own voice. Fortunately, he is not the only person who likes (or at least, is prepared to tolerate) the sound of his voice, which is why he gets invited to present at CLE seminars from time to time.

There are  two coming up in the next few months which might be of interest to you, if you are interested in that sort of thing.

On 5 September 2017, Angus is speaking at a conference on Legal Concerns for the Sharing Economy organised by UNSW.  The topic is “Small cogs in gig machines? Engaging workers in the sharing economy” and it will cover Australian and international approaches to the issues which arise in employment law and related legal areas as a result of the “sharing” or “gig” economy.  As the conference takes place in the CBD, Angus won’t even have to catch an Uber to get there.

On 25 October 2017, Angus is speaking at a conference on Emerging Issues in Employment Law organised by the College of Law.  The topic is “Workplace bullying – from break room to board room to court room” and it will focus on the board level implications of workplace bullying – including the risk of personal liability for directors who cannot demonstrate that they have exercised due diligence to prevent bullying within their organisations.

To find out more about the seminars, click the links above or contact Angus Macinnis directly.  Angus also provides training on employment law, anti-discrimination law, and work health and safety law issues to boards, line managers, and “shop floor” employees to clients across a range of industries, so if your organisation would like to hear the sound of Angus’ voice on these issues, he would be (unsurprisingly) delighted to help.
